Step 2 use a spirit level to check that the basin and pedestal are level.

Put the pedestal into position in front of the water supply and waste pipes then place the basin on top making sure that is it sitting flush to the wall.

Level up the basin using a spirit level and tighten the nuts securely.
Assuming the wall is to be tiled it is important to allow enough slack in the pipe routing so the mounting can be loosened off and tiles installed behind.
Then set the basin onto the wall anchors and fit the flanged collar sleeve washer and nut in this order to each wall anchor.
Once the wall anchors are in place check that they are level and remove the masking tape from your wall.
Even if you had a thernalite wall and you could scrape out the required depth you d still have to drill and plug the remaining wall behind the plate and there would be nowt left to accomodate the fixings.
