Most sliding doors manage to get knocked off kilter at one point or another.
How to fix a sliding glass door frame.

Start with a good cleaning.
These are sometimes located in the edges of the door.
Built up dirt or loose debris can cause a door to stop sliding and ride off the track.
Be sure to remove debris big and small to ensure a smooth slide.
Scrub caked dirt and grime out of the track with a stiff brush and soapy water.
How to clean or fix a door track.
To realign your door in the tracks at the top and bottom of the frame remove the door from the track and reinsert it.
Test the door for the location of the leak.
If the door still doesn t slide smoothly the rollers under the door either need adjusting or are shot.
Open the door about half way lift it straight up and pull the bottom toward yourself until it is free of the track.
Aim a garden water hose with a sprayer set on mist or low at the outside of the sliding door.
Use the adjusting screws at the bottom of the metal door frame to raise or lower the rollers.
Begin the fix by cleaning the bottom door track.
You can order rollers and other door parts for repairing sliding doors through lumberyards and home centers or online.
Use a wire brush to clean off the dirt or debris.
Spray the door and look for the leak location.
Apply a lubricant to both upper and lower tracks to keep the door hardware clean and operating freely.

Remove the door from the opening by grasping it with both hands on either side of the door.
Make sure the rollers at the top are aligned first then walk the bottom of the door into place pushing the top of the screen door up into the track.

Each time you vacuum your floors use a small brush attachment or cordless vacuum to clean the sliding door tracks.
Use the blade of an old screwdriver to pry stubborn dirt loose.

In addition to cleaning and lubricating sliding door tracks you want to lubricate the door lock.
Lift the door up and tilt it toward you.
When the bottom of the door clears the track at the bottom lower.
If you cannot re create the leak problem inspect the interior of the door for stains or rust.
Insert a flathead screwdriver into each hole and turn the screw counterclockwise all the way.
This retracts the rollers lowering the door.
Keep a firm grip on both edges of the door while you do this.
