Small holes or corroded spots in flashing can be easily repaired. Use a chisel to remove any hardened roofing cement. Clean any leaves or other debris out of the gap between the flashing and chimney. Recaulk the corner flashing if any areas have hardened caulk.

First roughen the area around the hole with a wire brush or sandpaper and then clean it. Dig out any cracked or dry caulking that isn t properly sealing adjoining surfaces and replace with silicone caulk. Apply a generous amount of roofing cement behind the flashing.
