The first fix you can try is to replace the stripped out screw with one that is slightly longer or that has a slightly larger diameter.
The wrong way is a temporary fix not cool.
If you have a heavy door that seems to have a loose hinge it could be that either the door hinge screws are stripped or the screw hole is stripped.
When you first notice this it is important that you fix the problem as soon as you can.
This is the fix.

We ve all had the problem of a screw getting pulled right out of a hole and stripping out the wood that should be holding it.

Open the door wide and insert a wedge under the bottom outside corner to level it.

If the hinge and jamb are painted cut the paint around the leaf with a utility knife swing the leaf away from the jamb.
Then bore out the stripped holes.
Remove the screws that hold the loose hinge leaf to the door jamb.
Fix it the right way not the wrong way.
