How To Install Cultured Stone On A Concrete Wall

On plywood interior or exterior walls you have to install some type of water resistive barrier and a galvanized wire lath. You can purchase wire lath with the flashing adhered on it in home depot. Wire lath for cultured stones. Pour in one quarter bag of s type veneer mortar.

Wash the wall with a pressure washer to remove any dirt debris or grease that may be on it. Add 2 inches of water to a 5 gallon bucket. Using the same type s mortar adhere the stones as desired and when finished simply touch up the project with grout between the joints of the mortared stones. Repeat on the following stones working in rows and up the wall and spacing the stones about 1 4 inch apart unless otherwise desired.

Area to thick and press the faux stone unit into the mortar with a slight rotation back and forth.
